Yr LadybiRdS: Ty-N-Teet

The LadybiRdS story begins in 2005 when Teeter and Tyler were both in the band Ley Royal Scam. She sang, he played keyboards and guitar, and while they opened for Taking Back Sunday and had foam-suited dancers in giant L, R, and S shapes, the band was never quite sure if they were real or fake; in it for the long haul or just for their own amusement. Eventually it got confusing enough that they decided to call it a day. It was the end of an amazing musical chapter for the entire gang.

One year later, Tyler found a new home for his keyboard and guitar-ing in the Youtube loved/indie hip hop ensemble Gym Class Heroes, and together Ty and GCH traveled the world on tour (the Ellen DeGeneres Show being part of the world! Coolest ever. Teet loves Ellen.) Teeter, on the other hand, decided to kiss her faux-rocker lifestyle goodbye and move to a wee cottage in the coastal Oregon town where Goonies was filmed so she could recharge her spazz batteries near her personal source of inspiration.

Life was way rad, but time apart made them realize that mayhaps being in their former band together meant more to them than just having great stories to tell, so Tyler reached out to Teet about making some new music as an electropop super-duo. Teeter quickly left her Goondocks bungalow for Tyler's dudehive/the Creep Records House in Pennsylvania, and after many (many many) hours in the basement studio with label chief Arik Victor, their debut record, *Regional Community Theatre* was born.

While the band is an exclusive Tyler and Teeter creation, many of their friends joined in to sing along while they were recording; Max Bemis from Say Anything, Matt Pryor from The Get Up Kids, Justin Johnson from The Danger O's, Neil Sabatino from Fairmont, plus, NO LIE, a chorus of the coolest and cutest local pre-teens ever known to Westchester, PA. Oh my god they were so awesome.
